A shout out from our Managing Director, Andrew Grasby

Wow! What a year 2017 turned out to be. It was the year my beloved Tigers won the AFL Premiership and we moved into our modern, re-built and re-furbished offices back at Super Gardens HQ, at 27 Glenvale Crescent Mulgrave.

Super Gardens was razed to the ground in January, 2017 due to an electrical fire. I am proud to say that thanks to our amazing team, competent insurance brokers at Sound Insurance and building contractors, we were able to get up and running with no disruptions incurred by our clients. We won The Phoenix Trophy Award from LMI ( Insurance Company ) for the Best Business Recovery ( following a catastrophic event ). Again, a sincere thank you to everybody involved over the last 12 months to get us to where we are today.

We are also now currently engaged with building contractors for a state of the art, purpose built office, workshop and depot at Essendon Fields. We are aiming for July, 2018 as the month for completion and re-settlement – stay tuned for updates on this project.

Keeping in line with a fresh start, we have engaged Red Crayon to assist us with re-branding. The new logo, website and promotion material looks great! Don’t forget to check back in regularly as we intend to bring you a monthly update on news relating to our organisation, projects, developments and innovation within our industry. We will also share photos and news on our facebook and Instagram pages.

In relation to addressing the current skills shortage, we asked our team to “Refer A Mate”. This has proved to be a success with a number of new starters joining us as a results of team referrals. What better commendation could we have than our team inviting those known to them to join us!

Indicative of our great company culture, is the overwhelming and humbling response we received from our team in relation to our first Employee Engagement Survey. We were pleased to see that over half of our team contributed valuable feedback and data that we will use to implement initiatives to make Super Gardens an even better place to work in 2018.

Having an engaged workforce means that our clients receive high levels of service and we hold ourselves accountable, continuing to raise the bar in our industry. To quote the author Shakti Gawain, (Pioneering Author & Teacher in the field of Personal Growth) “When you’re following your energy and doing what you want all the time, the distinction between work and play dissolves”.

To close, 2018 will be a year of both consolidation and growth (and hopefully another Tiger’s Premiership!). Our Executive team is working harder than ever to drive Super Gardens forward and 2018 is shaping as a very exciting one for all of us.

On behalf of the Executive team, thank you to all our staff, customers, sub-contractors and suppliers for your amazing support in 2017. We look forward to our continued collaboration throughout 2018 and beyond!
